Recently, our staff team in Ireland have expanded, and we are very excited to welcome two new members of staff!
Jennifer has joined us as Operations Coordinator, and Denise has joined as Fundraising and Communications Support. Both joined over the summer and are looking forward to getting to know all of our volunteers and supporters.
Both Jennifer and Denise studied International Development & Food Policy in UCC, and have spent time in Kenya.
Jennifer has a PhD in Global Women’s Studies from the University of Galway and specialises in gender and disability inclusion. Her research, completed this summer, has recently seen her spend time in both Cambodia and Rwanda interviewing women with disabilities and their advocates.
Denise has been involved with Brighter Communities Worldwide since 2022, starting with us as a student intern in 2023, and now returning as a staff member in 2024! She has a passion for international development and is especially interested in communications.
Together with Rose, they will continue our work in Ireland, and look forward to welcoming you to our Cobh office any time!
