On Friday evening, June 30th, there was a tragic road accident at Londiani junction, a key hub within the communities served by Brighter Communities Worldwide in Kenya.
This most terrible accident has claimed many lives, with many more injured. Local emergency services are completely overwhelmed and the community is in a state of shock. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy and with those providing the emergency response.
Our team in Londiani are all accounted for, and providing support to our long-term partners the Ministry of Health and other agencies. We are responding to requests for equipment, medical supplies, logistics and other forms of support.
